The Pearl District

I just wanted to share with everyone a Web site for the Pearl District in Portland, OR. I used to live in Portland before moving to Oakland over 5 years ago. The Pearl has a lot of parallels with our Warehouse Waterfront District (old industrial urban area), but they are much further along in the development of the neighborhood. It is truly a beautiful and special place. Most of the real estate are lofts, which you will be able to see among all of the other interesting things to explore. I think the Pearl District could be inspiration for the WWD and Jack London Square... Let me know what you think.

I agree, Chase. It's a beautiful district. My daughter works at a letter press print shop in the Pearl District. The big difference I see is that business has moved into that area. There is a Whole Foods, Design Within Reach and many smaller restaurants, bars and other businesses. It's a very lively place.
